Sedona, Arizona might be known for its hiking and incredible red rock views. But you will leave with a few new favorite bars, too! Whether you want to find a dive bar, upscale sports bar, wine bar, or old Western bar, you can find it…
And sip your cocktail with some of the best backdrops around.
Sedona isn’t real big on the nightlife scene (most people are up early to hike), but the mid-day and evening cocktails are *perfect* after a day of adventuring. (And, you’re in luck because most places will come with a delicious food menu as well.) You have a ton of restaurant and bar options in this area, but here are:
The Best Bars in Sedona, Arizona
PRO TIP: Don’t forget your cameras!
The Vault Uptown
This is one of my favorite spots in all of Sedona! There are fantastic views of the red rocks from both inside and out. They serve great, quality food. Plus, have top-notch service. It’s a chill environment and The Vault Uptown is the perfect place to grab a cocktail post-hike and watch a game (there are TVs outside, too!)
If you’re sticking to the appetizer menu, the Trash Can Nachos are next-level and the Dynamite Shrimp is a tasty snack if you want just a little something. If you’re here for a big meal, the menu is full of options like steak, salmon, pasta, and burgers—all smaller portions with quality ingredients.
Hideaway House
Another beautiful restaurant and easily one of the best bars in Sedona! You’ll find more spectacular views of the red rocks while sitting amongst the green trees—their outdoor seating area is tough to beat. Hideaway House is a casual spot and you’ll find both locals and tourists enjoying the restaurant.
Make sure you order one of their hand-crafted cocktails (Sam’s Sunshine Elixir is too tasty!) And if you’re ready for food, pizza is the way to go! There are also pasta and sandwich options as well.
Cowboy Club
There’s one place that everyone should stop in for a drink at least once on their trip to Sedona: Cowboy Club! This Western-themed full bar and restaurant has cowboy gear and decor throughout the space and is a Sedona classic. Find a seat at the long bar and order a prickly pear margarita (one of the best in town!) for a fun time.
And while you’re at it, make sure you try some of the Southwestern food at including cactus fries, rattlesnake sausage (yes!), and bison brochettes.
Creekside American Bistro
If you’re looking for a spot to have a REFRESHING cocktail in a quaint environment on the large, covered outdoor patio with beautiful Sedona views, Creekside American Bistro checks ALL the boxes! The upstairs patio space is scenic and quiet with spaced-out tables and views of Snoopy Rock. And they do have a dark, elegant bar as well. Plus, their menu is full of seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Tough to go wrong here!
89Agave Cantina
Craving good margaritas and tacos? Here is your place! 89Agave Cantina is a laid-back and colorful Mexican restaurant with an extensive tequila menu. They have a friendly staff and it’s a great place to refuel after being out in the sun all day!
Order your favorite type of marg (the spicy one was SO good I had to have two) and sit outside on their sidewalk patios or at the bar/tables inside. This spot is a whole vibe.
Mooney’s Irish Pub
Looking to party? Mooney’s Irish Pub is your best bet! While Sedona, Arizona doesn’t offer endless nightlife (everyone’s tired from hiking!), Mooney’s does have live entertainment (Thursday-Saturday and the occasional Sunday), plus a late-night menu which is rare around town.
Stop in for a night of Guinness while belting out your favorite tunes, order some fish and chips, and enjoy a fun, rowdy night—Irish-style!
Open Range Grill and Tavern
In need of a sports bar to catch the game? Add Open Range Grill and Tavern to the list. You can find a spot at the bar with a few TVs, and grab an order of smoked chicken wings or other comfort foods like green chili mac and cheese or a French dip sandwich. This second-floor space is a relaxing environment with friendly bartenders!
Their dining room does have huge picturesque windows with the classic red rock views, but not many TV options. And the outdoor patio will give you both—views and a TV!
Elote Cafe
EASILY one of the best restaurants in Sedona—it’s so, so good. Most people visit for the food experience and sit in the dining area, but you can sit at the bar and enjoy it just the same. Elote Cafe is located inside a hotel, and there is a patio option as well.
Make sure to try one of the delicious and creative cocktails—ALL of their margaritas are worth trying. For food, everything is made with fresh ingredients and I highly suggest you do not skip the brisket enchiladas (one of the best meals I have ever had.)
*Reservations are required and they are often times taking them 60 days in advance!*
Tii Gavo: Enchantment Resort
Located within Enchantment Resort, this is one of the best places in the area when it comes to the most beautiful red rock views. Tii Gavo is the resort’s casual restaurant and their patio is the place to be—though the bar area is pretty, too! Don’t miss the prickly pear margarita which is one of the best in town. And the guacamole is good too if you need a snack! (Note: It’s pricey!)
TIP: If you’re looking for upscale restaurants and place to enjoy the dining room, try Che Ah Chi within this same resort.
Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill
One of Sedona’s most well-known restaurants with GORGEOUS VIEWS and live music. Plus, of course, delicious cocktails, and a menu created by the great Chef Lisa Dahl. Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill is located in West Sedona and everything is made with fresh local ingredients and it’s the perfect place to spend special occasions.
The patio steals the show, but inside, with its dark and sophisticated ambiance, is a fantastic place to sit as well, including an elegant center bar area if you are just looking for a couple of drinks.
*Reservations are typically required here as well.*
Oak Creek Brewery & Grill
A fun and lively atmosphere where you will find great beers as well as live music five days a week. This craft brewery and brewpub is in a relaxed garden setting with fire pits and a pleasing vibe. Stop in Oak Creek Brewery after a hike and the beer will taste delicious.
There are two Oak Creek Brewing Co locations with the other on the second story in Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Center with plenty of people bustling about.
Sedona Beer Company
Need a beer or six after a nice long hike? Sedona Beer Company is another great spot with an awesome craft beer selection. Enjoy the Uptown taproom after a hike to recharge and then take a walk to hit all of the fun shops in the area!
The Hudson
I have not been lucky enough to visit The Hudson (you need reservations), but this modern and chic spot is first on my list for next time! They offer handcrafted cocktails and an extensive wine list with a beautiful outdoor space and a long, elegant bar. Like many on the list, they have gorgeous red rock views to go with it.
The Hudson offers happy hour every day from 3 PM-6 PM in their bar and lounge with specials on both food and drinks.
